If you go to Settings -- Apps -- Default Apps -- choose app by file type -- .pdf , is it set to Adobe Reader or Acrobat? Please set it to Adobe Reader.
Please close Encompass. Then go to Software Center -- Applications -- Adobe Reader -- Hit the install or uninstall button (hitting install will detect if it is there) -- then once uninstalled -- install it again.
Please close Encompass. Then go here: C:\SmartClientCache\Apps\Ellie Mae\Encompass -- RemoveUAC -- check all boxes and hit remove. Restart Encompass. If it asks for a client id, it is BE11130343
